I just made these bars and followed the recipe exactly. They are very rich and indulgent ( a good thing), but I found that as soon as I took them out of the fridge to eat, the chocolate and filling started melting. They become very messy to eat. Are they supposed to be like that? I want to take them to a cookie exchange, but I’m not sure they’ll stand up to it. I’ll need to take a stack of napkins with me!

These were so tasty! Plenty sweet and really leaned into the toffee flavor (more than just the toffee bits on top) and were so easy for how good they taste!! My family ate the entire pan in one day. Definitely adding to the rotation!

I thought the same thing, but several years ago I copied the recipe. When I compared the two, they are identical. Don’t know why they look so different, but I thought the first one was more appealing also.
