Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl whisk together the egg, canola oil, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and milk.
  3. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Finally stir in the chocolate chips.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Remove the cookie dough from the refrigerator and roll the dough into 12 equal sized balls.
  7. Place 6 cookies on the baking sheet at a time and bake for 10 – 12 minutes until golden at the edges. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for an additional 2 minutes and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
