When you double them do you put them in a 9×13 pan? And how long do they bake for?

I see a lot of comments about how it takes longer to cook for some, this is expected with any baking recipe. Ovens are fickle, learn your oven and you’ll make firmer brownies.

This recipe is so rich – was exactly what I was looking for when hubs asked for it to be brownies. There’s no kidding these are fudgey; even our family chocoholic could only eat one 3″x3″ square in a sitting. Mine did need an extra 10 or 15 min in the oven so I may try using the convection fan in mine next time and see if that reduces baking time. I just went ahead and used the whole bag of M&M’s which wasn’t too much for us, and the ones I picked were dark chocolate baking. I think it’d also be fun to do a triple chocolate version and change out the stirred in chips and candies with white and dark chocolate ones chips. I’d also love to try a version with caramel (there are M&M’s now, but chews may be better. The texture was just perfect, the batter is so thick I actually wondered if it’d rise out of the pan but it really doesn’t rise a lot but stays dense. I can definitely see why Shelly does nutrition based on such a small serving, it’s a decadent treat even in small amounts.

Like many others I had to bake it closer to 50 minutes. 30 was definitely not long enough. But just keep poking with that toothpick and be patient. It’s worth it.

Do you mean they weren’t baked enough? If you run into this issue again just give them a few more minutes in the oven 🙂

I followed the recipe, apart from swapping butter for olivani. Not only is the end result fudgey and delicious, the recipe is quick and easy to follow and only uses a saucepan, (no mixing bowls required) so minimal washing up! Looking forward to trying different variation instead of the m & ms. Thank you for the brilliant recipe!
