Took over 1 hour to bake at 325. Awfully thick to be considered a brownie, more like cake. Tastes really good though.

Can I use a boxed brownie mix instead of making the brownie batter portion? If so, would I use the “Family Size 13 x 9” boxed brownie mix or a regular boxed brownie mix that uses an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 pan? Would I follow the baking time instructions on the box or yours? Can I add mini chocolate chips to the brownie batter, if so how much do you think would be best?
